BBQ Ribs

Ribs are always a great favourite, and it is very rare that we have any left after a BBQ.

The ribs are made in 2 stages, stage 1 is the day before they are required.

Ingredients:

  • about 5 pork ribs per person
  • Spicy BBQ Sauce - click here for recipe

Method:

Day 1.

If ribs are on a rack, cut them into singles.

To remove the excess fats, and to make them more tender, place in a large saucepan and boil for 1-2 hours, keep topping up the water to ensure they don't boil dry.

Drain them while still hot. Rinse to remove the last of the fat.

Put into a large oven tray, cover with the spicy sauce and put in fridge over night.

Day 2.

Put the ribs into the centre of a medium oven (150C) for about 2 hours, occasionally stirring the mix and making sure the ribs stay covered. Either serve straight from the oven, or flash them on the BBQ.
