Tomato & Mozzarella Salad
  
Ingredients:

 

  • 4 beef or large tomatoes
  • 2 balls of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Dried Italian Herbs
  • Extra virgin olive oil

 

Preparation:

 

Slice the tomatoes into slices about 5mm thick. Discard the ends so that you have nice even slices.

Place the tomato slices onto a decorative serving plate.

Slice the Mozzarella into a similar number of 5mm thick slices and place on top of the tomato slices.

Drizzle the olive oil over the cheese, and then liberally sprinkle with the dried herbs.

Keep in a fridge until you are ready to eat.

 

This can also be served as another starter called Tricolour by adding slices of avocado pear. This gives the three colours of the Italian flag.
